    Safety & Crisis Support

MySafeTherapy is an online therapy and wellbeing service for non-urgent psychological support. It is not a crisis line, emergency service, or psychiatric assessment service. If you are in immediate danger or feel unable to keep yourself safe, please use the urgent resources below.

    Who this helps

    • Anyone unsure whether MySafeTherapy is the right level of support
    • People in distress who need help right now
    • Friends, family or colleagues worried about someone
    • Clients wanting to know our safeguarding limits
    • Professionals referring someone to us
    • Anyone wanting clarity on what AI features can and cannot do

    What MySafeTherapy offers

    Clear safeguarding policy

Our therapists follow a published safeguarding policy covering risk to self, risk to others, and protection of children and vulnerable adults.

    Onboarding risk check

Sign-up includes a brief, validated screen so we can suggest the most appropriate next step — sometimes that is not us.

    Therapist-led safety planning

If risk emerges in session, your therapist can help you build a safety plan and signpost to NHS or specialist services.

    AI never makes clinical decisions

Our AI features (Navi, journaling, mood tracking) are supportive and clearly labelled. They do not diagnose, treat or replace clinical judgement.

    Crisis-aware tooling

Risk-related language in journaling and chat surfaces UK crisis resources in real time.

    Transparent about our limits

We will tell you honestly if a different service would serve you better.

    How it works

    1. 1

If life is in immediate danger

Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E. This is the right step — please use it.

    2. 2

If you need to talk right now (free, 24/7)

Call Samaritans on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258. Both are free, confidential and available any time of day.

    3. 3

If you need urgent NHS mental health help

Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option, or contact your local NHS crisis team / Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Team (CRHT).

If you can wait for a planned session

MySafeTherapy may be right for you. Take our free wellbeing check or book a free 15-minute intro call.

    Safety & limitations

MySafeTherapy therapists are bound by their professional body's duty of care. In situations involving serious risk to life, child protection or safeguarding of vulnerable adults, therapists may share information with relevant services — these limits are explained transparently before therapy begins.

If you are in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent emotional support call Samaritans on 116 123 or text SHOUT to 85258. See our safety guidance and UK crisis resources.
