    About Samantha

Therapy that meets you where you are. Reaching out for therapy can be one of the most difficult things to do — whether you are struggling with past trauma, living with anxiety or depression, navigating relationship difficulties, or simply feeling lost. You don't have to face it alone.

With over 15 years of experience, I believe that healing can begin once you feel seen and heard. I offer a warm, reflective space for clients to slow down and reconnect with themselves — sometimes for the first time.

    Therapeutic Approach

My work is integrative and person-centred, drawing on psychodynamic, humanistic and attachment-based ideas, with CBT tools where practical change is what's needed. Everything I do is trauma informed.

I am very relational. I believe it is essential to be seen, heard and not judged, and that finding a therapist you feel safe with matters more than any single model. I also like to psychoeducate my clients: when you understand what has happened to you, your perspective on it can change.

I support clients with a wide variety of presenting issues, from childhood experiences through to what is happening in your life right now. My core focus is trauma in all its forms, including sexual assault and sexual violence at any age, and domestic abuse.

I also work with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, stress and burnout, and the emotional impact of major life transitions. I see individuals and couples.

    How I Work

Sessions are 50 minutes, available online across the UK or in person in Darlington and County Durham. I currently see clients on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and we agree times that work for you after your first enquiry.

There is no pressure to arrive with the right words. We start with whatever feels most present, build safety first, and move at a pace that your nervous system can hold. Over 15 years I have supported people who never believed healing or freedom was possible for them, and found that all things can be possible.

"Hope can lead to trust and breakthrough."
